DV8 Film Festival

DV8 Film Festival (2015-2017) was an annual, Brooklyn-based film festival in which artists and non-artists alike were invited to shoot moving image projects on either DV Tape or Super 8mm film within a 48 hour time period and submit it to screen. All works had to be edited sequentially (in camera).

The festival was co-founded and directed by myself and filmmaker Gaby Granda.

DV8 Presents: Baby’s First

Friday, November 17th 8PM 2017 | The Baumann Curated with Gaby Granda
A screening and celebration of “first” film & video works by local NYC artists and filmmakers. Films that were screened included footage from elementary school birthday parties, videos made with friends in Windows Move Maker, and cringe-worthy college entrance samples. Rather than a roast, this screening was a celebration of amateur filmmaking and lo-fi/ low budget moving-image experiments.
